Job Mission:

Responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of finance activities, including Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and statutory compliance. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective financial control, cash flow management, tax compliance, budgeting and forecasting processes, while providing financial insights and business partnering support to drive the company's performance and strategic objectives.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting and Treasury: 

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Monitor and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Reconcile and review all balance sheet accounts on a timely basis.
• Coordinate annual statutory audits and tax audits with external auditors.
• Prepare and submit monthly reporting packages to HQ.
• Monitor, forecast, and report cash flow to HQ.
• Manage payment processes to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.

Tax:

• Manage corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other tax compliance matters.
• Prepare and coordinate tax filings, returns, and tax payments.
• Resolve accounting and tax-related issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Report actual and forecasted tax expenses to HQ.
• Support tax audits and other tax-related projects as required.

Planning, Forecasting & Analysis:

• Provide financial analysis and business insights to support management decision-making.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
• Analyze and report variances between actual results and budget/forecast.

Business Partnering & Management Support:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support.
• Support the Finance Director in finance operations, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and enhance financial controls across the organization.
• Perform ad hoc projects and assignments as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 Knowledge, Skills & Personnel Qualities:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Good understanding of tax regulations, treasury management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills.
• Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset with the ability to work effectively across functions.
• Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel preferred.
• Experience in leading, coaching, or managing team members is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably within a retail or consumer goods environment.
• Experience covering multiple finance functions, including Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A.
• Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, AICPA, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
