WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

A Store Operations Manager for our NY Saks Concession Stores. The Store Operations Manager orchestrates and guides the store team to ensure compliance with Valentino guidelines, optimize the efficiency of store back-end processes, and uphold the highest standards of care for the company's product.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

POLICIES & PROCEDURES:

  • Manage the cascading of retail operation manuals with effective training of the store team
  • Ensure proper control over the execution of Retail Operation policies and procedure and act as guarantor of their implementation.

 

STOCK EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCT FLOWS:

  • Ensure effective organization of sellable products in the store to better support the sales process and minimize client waiting time
  • Ensure the ordering process and the management of not sellable products such as no-core material (stationary and packaging) and uniforms to guarantee proper brand representation while optimizing costs.
  • Ensure timely management of product intake and product outflow, coordinating with relevant counterparts to optimize stock capacity, maintain proper stock rotation, and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Ensure the omnichannel related activities (ship from store, buy on behalf, click and reserve etc.) are thoroughly followed up according to the agreed service level and suggest improvements where needed.
  • Systems Proficiency: Leverage company tools and systems (Smart XP, MY-V XP, PRISM, SAP, Training App, After Sales App, Microsoft Office etc.) to streamline store front-end and back-end activities. Train and support the store team in the effective use of these tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.

 

INVENTORY:

  • Guarantee regular execution of cycle counts and stock-takes involving the store team and defining clear roles and responsibilities in the process.
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of stock discrepancies and promptly sharing any stock loss, stolen cases and abnormal stock adjustment cases for approval.
  • Define action plans to improve performance contemplating loss prevention activities and regular audits of stock movements (ex. stolen merchandise, negatives on hand, in-transit, on-consignment, on hold, repairs, damaged, uniforms etc.) .

 

BEFORE AND AFTER SALES PRODUCT MANAGEMENT:

  • Implement solid control over merchandise promptly identifying defective or damaged items.
  • Ensure proper product handling and care to avoid damages and missed sales opportunities.
  • Assist the team members in managing after sales processes (client returns, repairs, complaints etc.) and ensuring the utmost client care.

 

CASH MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS:

  • Oversee the audits of POS usage and back-office activities to ensure compliance to global and local procedures and consistency in the use of the System (sales report, cash drop, returns, refunds, void transactions, discounts, gifts, deposits, credit notes etc.) .
  • Support the Store Manager with the Monitoring of retail costs for back-end activities, guarantee alignment with budget, identify potential saving opportunities and provide recommendations in process and organization.

 

SECURITY & MAINTENANCE:

  • Oversee collateral activities (cleaning and security) to ensure service level up to company standards
  • Ensure the colleagues uses company assets and facilities with full respect and care and promptly inform maintenance team (ticketing) of maintenance needs.
  • Stay informed of specific Loss Prevention challenges and collaborate with relevant departments to address and resolve them.

TEAM:

  • Train, nurture and motivate the team to achieve the highest level of efficiency creating a stimulating and result oriented work environment
  • Add value to the hiring and onboarding of all BOH teams, while educating and training them on operational standards and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in stock/operations role and leading a team.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in luxury retail/ retail
  • Must have experience in Ready to Wear and Accessories
  • Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Flexible to retail schedule and hours

Base Salary: $60,000-$70,000 ( subject to change and based on experience)
