WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

The Seamstress is responsible for performing high‑quality alterations and repairs in alignment with Valentino’s craftsmanship standards. This role supports in‑store appointments, client fittings, sample needs, after‑sales requests, and garment refurbishment. The position requires discretion, flexibility, strong time‑management skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Occasional travel may be required. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for alterations and repairs for Store Teams in Market. 
  • Complete high‑quality alterations in-store and offsite when needed. 
  • Fit, measure, pin, and mark garments according to client specifications and brand guidelines. 
  • Provide on‑the‑spot alterations for clients during appointments and special events. 
  • Meet all deadlines and maintain strong alignment with client expectations. 
  • Utilize Valentino‑provided equipment (sewing machines, sergers, tools) to complete work. 
  • Perform hand‑sewing, pressing, steaming, and garment finishing as required. 
  • Repair defective merchandise and manage aftersales and client repair requests. 
  • Maintain accurate records within the alteration log. 
  • Delegate and track work for the seamstress team to ensure timely completion. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area; communicate supply needs to the leadership and sales team. 
  • Support in‑store traffic and appointment demands, including on‑call fittings when needed. 
  • Act as a liaison between corporate teams and store teams regarding alterations while preserving garment integrity. 
  • Source necessary materials to support client alteration needs.

  • Ability to read and follow instructions and communicate clearly with clients and store teams. 
  • Basic math skills for measurements and garment adjustments. 
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. 
  • High degree of craftsmanship and technical sewing expertise.
