WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
The Area Operations Manager is a partner to the Area Sales Manager and supports all stores in the region. The Area Operations Manager will support and follow-up in different areas, as well as with the suppliers contracted by the company. They will ensure stockroom and product organization is maximized to increase the stores productivity. As well as guaranteeing the safety of products and valuable materials in the warehouse. While ensuring stores are compliant with administrative rules and procedures. Must be bilingual English/ Spanish.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Handling:
- Maximize stock team productivity, ensure deliveries are completed within the day by liaising with the Distribution Centers, and providing support to improve performance.
- Monitor the stock levels and support the activities of the region.
- Review compliance & productivity levels and re-address performance or develop alternative methods and solutions that will improve key metrics.
- Control and supervise transfers and all other operations in a timely manner.
Suppliers & local vendors:
- Supervise the flow of goods between distribution centers and store.
- Guarantee all shipping and receiving and paperwork distribution for inter-store transfers, RTVs and damages, consignments and transfers or deliveries to other locations, and in case of PR/Visual deliveries, store materials, supplies.
- Is responsible for managing necessary supplies for all the teams to be able to work (business cards, printed materials, packaging, HQ information materials, HR manuals etc…)
- Responsible for tracking some specific office supplies needed by each store to place general orders with local vendors (toners, Uline products etc).
Inventory:
- Leading the Market in cycle count and fiscal inventory, negatives items and sales order monitoring working collaboratively with the HQ operations and store management team
- Managing inventory efficiently, ensuring high standards on ticketing.
- Maintain loss prevention standards through awareness and adherence to company policies.
- Communicate to Corporate NY/ HQ Milan regarding discrepancies, missing documentation, etc.
Customer service:
- Assist the team members in managing all delicate situations regarding sales activities or after sales (boutique returns, customer returns, repairs, complaints), ensuring the respect of Company procedures regarding sales and after sales processes.
- After sales follow up.
Team coaching:
- Making sure that digital systems and tools and personal user are properly used and pointing out potential.
- Uniform control and provision for the Market in partner with the Stock Manager and other store leaders.
- Is responsible for following up with employees for issues relevant to their ordinary activities, such as system registrations, checks, etc.
- Training platform (Accademia tracking)
- Conducting weekly calls with ops team to review different business needs
- CRM campaigns and new releases follow up (tracking and notifying).
Supply chain, customs, and warehouse
- Stock transfers, consolidations and product requests
- Buying office follow up for allocation in partnership with commercial area manger
Security & maintenance:
- Participate in store maintenance.
- Is responsible for following up on issues that arise in the operation: purchase of furniture, customer lists for the parade, data collection, etc.
- Guarantees warehouse maintenance to make the furnishings, machineries, and all tools as efficient as possible
Requirements:
- Previous experience in multi store Stock/ Operations role.
- Ability to lead and manage a team.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in luxury retail/ Retail.
- Must have experience in Ready to Wear and Accessories.
- Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
- Must speak English and Spanish.
- Flexible to retail schedule and hours.
