Job Mission:

 

The Europe Finance Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate financial accounting, robust control, and high quality reporting for the European Retail perimeter.
The role combines hands-on accounting ownership with controlling and performance monitoring, acting as a key financial partner for Retail and Finance leadership.


This position plays a critical role in safeguarding data integrity, ensuring compliance, and supporting decision making across multiple European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for the assigned European Companies
  • Manage general ledger monthly accounting activities including posting of accruals, provisions, stock, intercompany reconciliation
  • Prepare the Group Reporting Package and monthly detailed reports requested by HQ
  • Collaborate with the internal or external local accounting counterparts and follow all operational day by day activities related to legal entities under his/her responsibility
  • Ensure that adequate processes and internal controls are implemented and maintained
  • Support the stores for the assigned companies (i.e. administrative queries, support for specific compliance matters, etc)
  • Collaborate with the Europe Business Controllers in ad hoc requests and analysis
  • Preparation of supporting documentation for Group Sustainability Reporting

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • 3/4+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Good team player attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Work knowledge of MS Office, previous experience with SAP is an advantage
  • Fluent in English
